What is an Alarm Annunciator?

An Alarm Annunciator is an electronic device which is basically an audio visual indicator of a fault. In the event of machine malfunctioning, it detects the unusual behavior of the preset parameter and generate an audio visual alarm.

Is Alarm Annunciator same as Alarm Indicator?

No. Alarm Annunciator is a devices which is connected with the field devices in real. And keep sensing the preset parameter. Once the preset parameter value is not normal, it generates an alarm.

However, an Alarm Indicator is a device which just mimic the alarm. It’s not connected with field devices.
